Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner and 1 adult beverage. You can make your ticket purchase here. 

We have limited availability for tickets and none will be sold at the door if we sell out.

Note About Parking: We encourage people to carpool and Uber to minimize the number of cars on the side streets. Please obey parking signs in this area of Myers Park surrounding the Johnson's home. Please do not park on Queens Road West or in the median in front of their home.

Attendees will enjoy a casual outdoor evening with great food, African drumming, silent auction, shopping, and interactive learning stations about our organization and our mission. You will have the opportunity to bid on amazing items including a week-long stay at a Caribbean Treehouse resort, original artwork, gourmet private dinners, beach house stays, and so much more!

We have a BIG goal of $75,000, and with your participation, we will surely reach it!

Funds raised during this event will support our goal to purchase several acres of land in a village outside the capital of Burundi, Bujumbura. This land will eventually become the home of a permanent facility for the sewing group, Amahoro, a garden to feed the artisans, a community center and a fully functional medical clinic, sponsored by CURA For The World.*

The Empower for Hope mission is to combat poverty by empowering and providing vulnerable women with opportunities to improve their economic and educational future by giving them the tools to become financially self-sufficient. 

To further advance this mission, we have partnered with CURA for the World to strengthen the foundation for the communities we serve. Founder, Dr. Jawad Trad has pledged $15,000 to build and support the medical clinic in Burundi. 

CURA for the World was founded on a vision to heal and nourish the neglected, to break the chains of the illiterate, to reach the unreachable and to have limitless love in a world where love is often forgotten. 

*CURA for the world is a 501 (c) 3 registered, not-for-profit organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. CURA partners with Non-Governmental Organizations (“NGOs”) in developing countries to build CURA Medical Clinics or Centers as apart of a three-fold model, to fight poverty. Our CURA Medical Clinic is designed to provide basic medical aid and medical education including proper hygiene practices. Our second arm of practice is food security through a permaculture program. Our third initiative is to address access to clean water through water-wells and diversion of existing water sources.
